Holding age · also called grain
Hold longer, pay less.
MOLD remembers how long your wallet has held each token: its holding age. A token can use that age in its rules, most often to charge a lower sell fee to people who held longer. This page explains how the age is counted, what resets it, and what it can change for you.
Four things to know
Every wallet has an age per token
It starts the moment your wallet first holds the token, and it is kept on-chain next to your balance. Nobody can edit it, including MOLD.
Selling resets it to zero
Any sell, even a small one, starts your clock again for the tokens you keep.
Buying more keeps it
Adding to your position never resets your age. Only selling does.
It only matters if the token uses it
A creator can make any rule depend on holding age, sealed at launch. The token page says “by holding age” when one does.
